Alfvénic Motions Arising from Asymmetric Acoustic Wave Drivers in Solar Magnetic Structures

چکیده

Alfv\'enic motions are ubiquitous in the solar atmosphere and their observed properties closely linked to those of photospheric p-modes. However, it is still unclear how a predominantly acoustic wave driver can produce these transverse oscillations magnetically dominated corona. In this study we conduct 3D ideal MHD numerical simulation model straight, expanding coronal loop gravitationally stratified which includes transition region chromosphere. We implement locally at one foot-point corresponding an acoustic-gravity inclined by $\theta = 15^{\circ}$ with respect vertical axis magnetic structure similar incident on loop. show that produced loop, displace waveguide due breaking azimuthal symmetry, resulting modes theoretical framework cylinder model. By conducting Fourier analysis perturbed velocity signals, contribution from different cylindrical obtained. Furthermore, vorticity computed demonstrate manifest themselves throughout whole non-uniform space. Finally present some physical perturbations amplitudes range $0.2-0.75$ km s$^{-1}$ exhibit two distinct oscillation regimes $42$ s $364$ s, where latter value close period p-mode simulation.

Acoustic Wave Scattering From Thin Shelf Structures

A general asymptotic theory is developed to describe the acoustic response of heavily fluidloaded thin shells in the midfrequency regime between the ring and coincidence frequencies. The method employs the ideas of matched asymptotic expansions and represents the total response as the sum of an outer, or background response, plus an inner or resonant contribution. The theory is developed for th...

Magneto-acoustic Wave Oscillations in Solar Spicules

Some observations suggest that solar spicules show small amplitude and high frequency oscillations of magneto-acoustic waves, which arise from photospheric granular forcing. We apply the method of MHD seismology to determine the period of kink waves. For this purposes, the oscillations of a magnetic cylinder embedded in a field-free environment is investigated. Finally, diagnostic diagrams disp...

Surface Acoustic Wave Based Magnetic Sensors

Since the radar system was invented in 1922, the development of devices communicating by means of reflected power has experienced a continuously growing interest. In 1948, Harry Stockman published a paper [1] in which he laid the basis for the idea of radio frequency identification (RFID), and the first patent had been filed in 1973 by Charles Walton. After decades of research and commercializa...

Anisotropy of imbalanced Alfvénic turbulence in fast solar wind.

We present the first measurement of the scale-dependent power anisotropy of Elsasser variables in imbalanced fast solar wind turbulence. The dominant Elsasser mode is isotropic at lower spacecraft frequencies but becomes increasingly anisotropic at higher frequencies. The subdominant mode is anisotropic throughout. There are two distinct subranges exhibiting different scalings within what is no...

Investigating Alfvénic wave propagation in coronal open-field regions

The physical mechanisms behind accelerating solar and stellar winds are a long-standing astrophysical mystery, although recent breakthroughs have come from models invoking the turbulent dissipation of Alfvén waves. The existence of Alfvén waves far from the Sun has been known since the 1970s, and recently the presence of ubiquitous Alfvénic waves throughout the solar atmosphere has been confirm...
